Eris, also known as 136199 Eris, is the ninth most massive body known to orbit the Sun directly. It is estimated to be 27% more massive than Pluto. Eris was discovered on 5 January 2005. Eris's name comes from the Greek goddess Eris, the goddess of strife and discord. There is one known moon of Eris, called Dysnomia.
Eris and Sedna both live far away from the Sun. Ceres acts like an older sister to Makemake, Eris and Haumea. Eris is a bit mean to and is constantly arguing with Pluto. Eris's doll is called Dysnomia.
